What is a Universal Carbon Filter?
A Universal Carbon filter is needed when your cooker hood is
installed for air recirculation and not vented to the outside world. The air collected by your cooker hood is passed through your grease filter (which removes the grease) and then through the carbon filter. This helps to reduce the amount of unpleasant odours released back into the room. To ensure your hood works to its best potential, we highly recommend that carbon filters be changed every 3 to 6 months, depending upon usage.
